"Hey Mother, praise me. I've defeated the wizard's henchwoman too."
―Hänsel

Hänsel was a boy kidnapped and raised by Eve and Adam Moonlit, and the twin brother of Gretel. Born as part of Project 'Ma', the newborn twins were taken by their father, Seth Salmhofer, to Held's Forest and raised by the Moonlit Family after Adam killed Seth. After being abandoned in the forest during a famine, Hänsel and Gretel murdered their foster parents and split Adam's Original Sin into the vessels of sin.

History[]

Early Life[]

Hänsel was born along with his twin sister, Gretel, on December 27, EC 0 in the royal institute in Magic Kingdom Levianta as part of Project 'Ma'. After being birthed by his father, Seth Salmhofer, Hänsel and his sister were placed in a life support system, due to having problems breathing on their own. Celebrated by the people of the Magic Kingdom, their births marked the first year of the new Evillious Calendar.

Five days after their birth, when Ly Noël launched an attack on the research institute with the remnants of Apocalypse, Hänsel and his sister were taken by Seth from the laboratory as he fled with Ly. When Meta Twiright used a gas derived from the brainwashing drug Venom to capture the fugitives, Ly collapsed, but the twins and their father remained unaffected. Escaping into the night, they fled to Elphegort, Seth hiding with his children in Held's Forest.

One night, on a stroll through the forest after a year of being hidden by Seth, he settled them near a tree and left them. Soon after, he and Gretel were discovered by Adam Moonlit. The wizard took the infants and fled through the forest, killing Seth during his pursuit. After Adam showed the children to his wife, Eve, the woodcutter couple adopted the newly orphaned babies and raised them as their own. Secretly knowing the two weren't their real parents, Hänsel caused tons of mischief for them over the years, scolded by his father each time. At one point, Hänsel had found two swords in a river and began to swing around one of them in the house, being harshly scolded by his parents after he accidentally cut Gretel in the face with the sword’s tip.

Moonlit Abandonment[]

In EC 013, fragments of the Levia-Behemo dragon descended upon the twins as two lights and fused with their bodies. A few months later, in EC 014, Hänsel and his sister were led by their parents deep into the forest on a moonlit night following a famine in Elphegort resulting from the Levianta Catastrophe.

Despite questioning their parents on where they were going, the twins received no answers, continuing to be lead deeper into the forest. Eventually, Hänsel and his sister realized that they would be lost if they continued on the path and were soon after abandoned by their parents to die. Seemingly betrayed, Hänsel and his sister began to delusion that their parents were a wicked wizard and his henchwoman that had tricked them.

Using the glass bottle full of moonlight, the two lit their path as they wandered. Welcomed into the home, the twins then murdered the "wizard" and his "henchwoman". Afterwards, the two were approached by a mysterious woman who referred to them as the “Twins of God”.

Watching the "wizard" burn to ashes in the oven, they witnessed his body become the embodiment of his Original Sin. Splitting it into seven fragments, the twins also performed a Re_birthday, remaking the six spirits of the earthlings into Demons of Sin. Housing each demon inside a household object, the two thus created the vessels of sin. Afterward, they scattered the vessels across the world. Hänsel and his sister then slept in the witch's house before deciding to go out and search for their "real" mother and father.

Wicked Butler[]

"Do you know Arte and Pollo's true identities? Are they your minions?"
"No. It's a bit difficult for me to describe. They're Hänsel and Gretel— reincarnations of friends of mine, or parents or kids."
―Carlos Marlon and Vlad Tuberci

Following his death, Hänsel and his sister reincarnated as the twins Pollo and Arte in the Beelzenian Empire in EC 298. Losing their parents at a young age, the twins became servants to the Marlon Family and became obsessively loyal attendants to Carlos Marlon. After finding and keeping the wine glass vessel of sin, the two presented it to their dying master in July of EC 323 as a means to save Carlos from his eventual fate of overeating.

Once the Duke forged a contract with the Demon of Gluttony, the two supported "Evil Food Eater Marlon" as he began indulging in increasingly disgusting foods, killing any staff that opposed the feudal lord on her orders. Carlos later gave Pollo command of his undead horde guarding the Marlon Mansion and the butler freely used the glass to control the corpse soldiers for his master. Pollo was later killed and devoured by Carlos around August of EC 325.

Beelzenia Assassin[]

"This isn't Lily. She is Hänsel. The boy who was originally supposed to be born with the name of 'Alexiel'. A pitiful boy who took on a different form, led a different life, thanks to a twisted fate."
―The Demon of Gluttony, Carlos Marlon

In EC 482, Hänsel reincarnated as Riliane "Lily" Beelzenia, the illegitimate daughter of King Leonhart Beelzenia of the Beelzenian Empire and Queen Anne I of the Kingdom of Lucifenia. Discarded by his father to hide his infidelity, Lily was raised and experimented on by Leonhart's court mage Abyss P.L. Becoming obsessed with pleasing her father, Lily infiltrated the Kingdom of Lucifenia as a spy, and, feigning amnesia, was adopted by Head Servant Gast Venom, of the Three Heroes.

Lily was eventually hired as a maid at the royal palace, where she worked to undermine the reign of Prince Alexiel Lucifen d'Autriche. During the Lucifenian Revolution of EC 500, Lily killed her adoptive father before returning to King Leonhart in Beelzenia. Made the commander of the Special Maneuvers Task Force, Lily assisted her half-sister Queen Germaine in her Witch Hunt. Later given the Glass of Marlon by Abyss P.L., Lily took command of Retasan Fortress and revived undead hordes for Beelzenia's Marlon campaign in EC 505.

Forced to retreat, the assassin returned to her father in Beelzenia and joined him at Castle Hedgehog while building up their undead forces in preparation for Germaine's retaliation against them. During the ensuing battle, Lily's sanity snapped, causing her to kill Leonhart before wildly attacking Germaine and completely submitting to the Demon of Gluttony. After being subdued and captured, she was killed by Abyss P.L. at Lioness Castle.

Servant to the Glass[]

"Foolish girl. You will never be reborn again. I will take in your soul, and you will become an incarnation of myself. As a cornerstone that I may become 'Master of the Graveyard'."
―Carlos to the ignorant "Lily"

Afterwards, Hänsel's soul was merged with the Glass of Marlon and his memory of his past lives reawakened; Hänsel immediately returned to serving the new Demon of Gluttony, Carlos, learning about his master's ambition to find the Grave Yard where the technology of the Second Period was located to become the Master of the Graveyard and devour the world. Two weeks later, the two watched Abyss P.L. battle Kyle Avadonia and Yukina Freezis. When Abyss suddenly attempted to use the Marlon Spoon against Alexiel, the remorseful "Lily" used the Demon of Gluttony's power to cancel out the Demon of Greed's magic, saving the prince and leading to the mage's defeat.

Possessing His Twin[]

"Leave it. All. To me."
―Hänsel

After Pale Clockworker reclaimed the Glass of Marlon and changed his identity to "Julius Abelard", he stored the vessel in his mansion's treasury in Rolled, Lucifenia. In EC 603, Hänsel awoke to see Rin Abelard examining the glass. Upon her touching its surface, his spirit possessed her and forged a contract between her and Carlos. Reading through her memories, Hänsel confirmed the adopted Rin was a reincarnation of Gretel before the girl passed out.

Not long after Rin awoke, Hänsel was finally was able to speak with her, introducing himself as "Lily" and claiming he was another her; he then explained the situation, that only she could hear his voice and that they were now inseparable since hers touching the wine glass. Afterward, Hänsel watched Rin live out her daily life as Julius' adopted daughter, occasionally speaking with her. Sometime after the girl was given the Glass of Marlon as a present for her eighth birthday by Julius, the two of them had a conversation about Julius as a father, with Hänsel trying to caution Rin that he intended to use her, to no avail.

While Julius and Rin ate dinner at home on August 17, EC 609, Hänsel heard Julius tell Rin about his presidential inauguration ceremony the next day, noting there would be an after party at the Lucifenian Palace and that her friend Lemy Kun was scheduled to sing there. After Rin attended the inauguration speech in Milanais Square the next day, she returned to the Abelard estate. Hänsel chided her into attending the after-party, talking to her about the "Lucifenian Royal Palace" where it was being held once she arrived.

His directed her through the palace where she was greeted by Bruno Elphe, and he was present while Rin and Bruno discussed Lemy Kun and the shady reputation of his manager, Ton Corpa. After Rin's repeated failure to meet with Lemy in the wake of his retreat into the Corpa Mansion due to a lip-syncing scandal, Hänsel implored her to force her way inside the mansion in early October of that year. Learning that the Cirque de Lune would be tented on the grounds of Corpa's mansion before their performance on October 10, he had Rin disguise herself as a member of the circus to sneak into the estate grounds and infiltrate the mansion when everyone was asleep.

Before she left, he also removed the golden key vessel of sin from Julius' treasury and put it in Rin's pocket to help with the infiltration. Inside the mansion, the two were able to locate Lemy's room; finding it locked, Hänsel directed Rin to use Grim the End to open it. Shortly after, Lemy revealed Ton's plans to kill him, after having murdered the singer he lip-synced to; Hänsel then watched the man himself appear to confront the pair. When Rin failed to intimidate him, he took full control of her body for a brief period, swiftly disarming Corpa of his knife and stabbing him in the back with it.

Defying Conscience[]

"I told you to shut up, Lily!"
"Are you and "Lily" in a fight, Rin?"
"—No, it's nothing."
―Rin and Julius

After Rin escaped with Lemy to her "uncle" Gatt's mansion in Calgaround, they were intercepted by Julius and brought back home alone. Hänsel watched Julius reveal his position as leader of Père Noël to the girl and coax her into helping him "correct" the world as the criminal organization's assassin, Fifth Pierrot, with the skill she demonstrated killing Ton. Hänsel remained negative of the girl's involvement, though Rin was convinced by Julius that she belonged in the role.

After another rebuke from the girl for his doubts, Hänsel silently listened to Julius assign her first mission to hunt for the traitorous Seventh Magician hiding in Rolled. Over the following months, Hänsel watched while Rin murdered random prostitutes throughout Rolled in search of Seventh Magician. After she had murdered her eighth prostitute, he again cautioned Rin that she was being manipulated, relating to her a tale of his time as Lily, brainwashed by her father, though under the guise of it merely being a girl he "knew". When this story only angered Rin, Hänsel changed the topic to her enjoyment of killing, although again failing to get through to him.

When Rin went to investigate the brothel on 7th Block on February 11, EC 610, Hänsel watched while the brothel owner led the boy to Ismael Adel; he then witnessed her confirm Ismael was Seventh Magician before attempting to slay him. After she was brainwashed by Ayn's Lust spell, Hänsel took over, stabbing Ayn and taunting him as he perished. He then returned control to Rin, noting as she collected her knife and the Venom Sword.

When the girl began to leave, he urged her to kill off the brothel owner as well so as to leave no witnesses she was there. Despite her reluctance, she prepared to do so, only for Hänsel to recognize the owner as Kiril Clockworker and stop her, explaining when asked that he knew him. Kiril promised to keep Fifth Pierrot's murder of Seventh Magician a secret in exchange for a meeting with Julius, introducing herself as Third Sleep Prince. Despite Hänsel's insistence that he was lying about his identity, Rin agreed to the deal.

Hänsel observed Julius and Rin's meeting with Kiril at the brothel two days later, listening to the "Sleep Prince" claim that he took over Kiril's body when the mage attempted to use the Swap Technique to destroy him. After he proved he could use Adam's powerful hypnosis, both him and Irina were recruited into Père Noël as the new Seventh Magician and Eighth Sniper. Kiril suggested "Lily" be the new Fourth Shadow, though Hänsel found it frivolous.

New Père Noël[]

"It's just great. The girl's trying to be with both of his fake fathers. In the end, she'll be coming here. And then she'll remember everything."
―Hänsel to Carlos

Over the following months, Hänsel rarely spoke up to Rin. After the girl was assigned by Bruno Elphe to assassinate Nob Nicole during a diplomatic meeting, Hänsel watched as the job was complicated by a pair of Justea investigators who barged in during the meeting, revealing Bruno's plot and his secret identity as the fugitive Marx Felix. As Julius signaled Rin to kill Bruno, Hänsel spoke up and suggested Julius was sacrificing her as well as Bruno. Rin quickly was paralyzed with indecision, and the two watched Bruno be arrested and taken away.

At night on September 9, Julius sent Rin to an inn on 12th block while he dealt with persons looking into his connection with Bruno, and Hänsel noted that this was out of fear that he'd leak information related to Père Noël. Soon after, Seventh Magician came in with Eighth Sniper and Hänsel listened to the mage offer Rin a chance to escape from the criminal organization with her before it completely fell apart. As she commented on Kiril's warnings, Hänsel learned that he could hear his voice as well and again argued that he wasn't the real "Sleep Prince". Kiril once more pressed his offer to Rin, and then left.

Afterward, Hänsel returned to the dimension in the Glass of Marlon while Rin slept that night and reported what had been transpiring to Carlos. When Carlos suggested Hänsel teach Rin how to use the corpse soldiers, one of the powers granted by the glass, Hänsel refused on the grounds of her stupidity. Further into the conversation, they noticed Rin's soul watching them. Thereafter, Hänsel continued watching Rin's day-to-day actions, including relaying Kiril and Irina's treachery to Julia. They continued to bicker about Julius' true nature, until Rin told him to be quiet.

From then on, Hänsel merely observed as he restarted his nightly murders of persons opposing Julius. After Rin was shot through the heart by Irina on December 26 and subsequently buried, Hänsel waited underground with the "corpse" until Julius put the Glass of Marlon and a folded pair of clothes by her grave around a month later. After Julius left for his planned duel with Kiril and Irina at Ly Noël's tomb in Elphegort, Carlos decided they'd use the opportunity to get close to Kiril and lead Rin there to help his "father" with his battle.

Duel of Merrigod Plateau[]

"Give up, Irina. The person contracted to the Demon of Gluttony is able to obtain especially strong recovery powers. Showing off your gun at Rin is meaningless!"
―Hänsel

Around 2:00 AM the next morning, after Carlos healed her fatal injury, Hänsel woke Rin. Once the girl dug herself out of his grave, Hänsel explained to her how she was still alive, realizing in the course of the conversation that she still had not remembered anything of his past lives. He then hurried her to change clothes and bring the glass. After the Demon of Gluttony led Rin to Julius' location at Merrigod Plateau's Apocalypse Cliff, Hänsel warned Rin that Julius was likely engaging Seventh Magician and Eighth Sniper within the tomb, leading him onward. Once they reached the cave entrance, he urged her inside.

As Rin entered the glowing moss-covered cavern and approached the main chamber, Hänsel commented on the blue fire that emerged from the chamber and ended up explaining how his father Julius was a mage that specialized in it. She then entered the main chamber and joined his father in facing Kiril and Irina, being healed quickly by Carlos' power as Irina attempted to kill him again. Hänsel and Carlos watched while the four battled one another for the next two hours.

After Irina used Grim the End to finally kill Rin, Carlos brought Rin's soul into the wine glass to join them. After she awoke, Hänsel welcomed his sister back; afterwards, Rin regained enough of her memories to recognize Hänsel as "Pollo" and herself as "Arte". Hänsel then praised her for fulfilling her mission of getting close to Kiril. As Carlos opened a dimensional portal to the outside world again, Hänsel set out their breakfast and the three dined together. They then watched Julius discard his human and self-destruct his red cat body with Black Box Type S, dragging everyone caught in the blast into Seventh Magician's inner psychological world.

When Pale Clockworker, Irina, Adam Moonlit, Behemo, and Levia confronted one another in the mental world, Hänsel watched Carlos enter from the outside and interrupt the duel, threatening all of them with the Worldeater. After the resulting blast caused the souls of Pale, Behemo, and Adam to fuse into Ma, Carlos returned and Hänsel saw Arte sulking in the corner of the glass world over her master's near murder of her former adoptive father.

After bringing Carlos his next collection of meals later that day, Hänsel ate with his master and they discussed the outcome of the duel. Carlos later changed the topic to their search to find the Grave Yard, Hänsel discussing with him how they couldn't presently leave the glass and Carlos agreeing they would need to find a new contractor. Afterward, he thanked Hänsel for the delicious meal and Hänsel continued to serve him as always.

Graveyard Restaurant[]

"Well then, I shall tell it to you. The man who tried to devour all of the food in this world—and, in the end, even himself. –The story of the Evil Food Eater, Carlos Marlon."
―Hänsel to Nemesis

At some point, Hänsel awakened, given a physical body by a fellow servant of Carlos, Lich Arklow. He then began working as the Graveyard restaurant's waitron in Levianta, alongside another fellow servant Eater Sabella, who worked as the restaurant's chef. In EC 978, "Waiter" welcomed a new customer. Using the customer's choice of red wine as an aperitif to introduce her to Blood Grave and the story of Carlos Marlon, Waiter asked if she wanted to hear it, learning that she had come there for that express purpose.

Waiter then told the customer the story of Carlos in between serving her meals from the restaurant's pre-set menu, and afterwards describing the aftermath of Carlos' apostasy and Beelzenia's decline. Suddenly, after Waiter asked for hard cash as payment for the meal, the customer revealed herself to be Nemesis Marlon, director of the USE Dark Star Bureau. Waiter was then arrested by the police for the restaurant's lack of a business license among other apparent violations. Noticing that Lich and Eater were missing, the exasperated Waiter reiterated he didn't know anything and wasn't the owner.

Later on, the boy was tried by Nemesis for the restaurant's lack of business permit, tax evasion and serving of dubious dishes. Waiter insisted she wasn't related to the management, and angrily yelled at her to pay her bill. Ignored, he was sentenced to six months of penal servitude. After being released from jail, he went missing. After Evil's Theater was built in EC 982, rumors arose that he had been spotted with Ma in the Millennium Tree Forest.

Evil's Theater[]

"Search, search, search for him left, right or below; find the holder of all keys, the Master of the Hellish Yard."
―The Servants following Ma's "testimony"

Once Carlos awakened as Master of the Graveyard, Hänsel and his twin became the "Servants" and continued to serve him; they did this by tearing apart any intruders to Evil's Theater, killing them and serving them as meals to their master. Hänsel later met Postman and got along with him; learning that Postman was unable to express any emotion or will because him body was broken, Hänsel gave Postman his own physical body and had Lich make him a new one.

Elluka Sudou later encountered and escaped from the servants, and they attended her trial for her by the Master of the Court. Although calling for Elluka's execution, they were forced to comply when Postman, now Waiter, recruited her as a choreman. When Elluka submitted a "motion" to review the script regarding her vision for the Director Doll's utopia, the Servants attended the faux hearing but largely ignored the prophecy.

In EC 998, the Servants attended the "trial" meeting called by the Master of the Court as they searched for the vessel of Wrath. After Ma claimed the last vessel was in the hands of the Master of the Hellish Yard, the Servants frantically ordered everyone to look for him. The Servants were later killed in the destruction of the world the following year.

World's End[]

After the Third Period's destruction and subsequent merging with the Hellish Yard in EC 999, Hänsel and his twin joined Carlos at the Marlon Mansion in Gasto, cooking and serving his desired meals in their forms as Arte and Pollo.

When Tasan Party soldiers arrived with a Black Box, Hänsel and Gretel captured and interrogated a soldier about Evil's Theater under Carlos' orders. After reporting their findings to Carlos, Hänsel and the other servants accompanied him to Evil's Theater; the twins later escaped the theater with Lich when Ma absorbed Carlos. Resting under a tree, Gretel watched as the confrontation between Rin Avadonia, Gallerian and Ma carried out. Hearing Clarith sing the Clockwork Lullaby, Hänsel discussed the lullaby and Clarith with Lich before taking part himself.

After Ma was defeated, Pollo accompanied Banica, Arte and Eater to the Grave Yard as part of their preparation to journey to a parallel world, leaving Lich behind when they couldn't find him. Once they returned, Pollo and Arte were approached by Lich with Ron in tow and asked to undo their curse on him; not remembering they had cast it to begin with, she discussed it with her twin.

After Lich made Pollo a new body, he and Arte were tasked by Meta to clean out the second floor of Evil's Theater II, which had her belongings. While cleaning, the two discovered akashic records and played them on a jukebox, although stopping after they were called upstairs by Carlos. Soon after, he accompanied Carlos and the rest of his servants to the parallel world, serving hi,. During the trip, the ship was attacked by Ma, causing it to malfunction and threatening to crash, only for all of them to survive the ordeal.

Exploring New Worlds[]

Once they had arrived in the World of Giants and Beastmen, Pollo joined Arte in preparing to attack the giants below the theater, serving them as a meal for their master.  However, sometime after this, the theater crew was betrayed by the bunny hero Jarre and Pollo was killed along with most of the others.

After transitioning to the World of Angels and Demons, Pollo's soul was placed in the body of Jarre. He and Arte were then set to the task of turning the main room of the theater into a restaurant.  Once this was completed, he began luring children towards the theater in the hopes of finding one to be Carlos' new body.

Legacy[]

Centuries after Hänsel's death, Gallerian Octo began hearing the voices of Hänsel and his twin, telling him repeatedly how he had been abandoned by his father, Ma. Ma wrote several screenplays involving Hänsel and Gretel and adapted them into films. While watching the films with an intruder to Evil's Theater, Ma playfully questioned their existence, citing they seemed to be hidden so well by their parents that there were no recorded documents of them in existence.

While reflecting on the "motions" of the Master of the Court, Elluka Sudou noted how Gretel's reincarnation as Rin Abelard was uncharacteristically born without a Hänsel counterpart. Elluka also wondered what became of the twins, questioning if they needed to ask the Master of the Hellish Yard to find an answer.

Personality and Traits[]

"…I’m sorry, about Clari…Oh no, no I can’t do it. It’s nothing. It’s just not in my character."
―Hänsel unable to apologize

Hänsel was a haughty and devious boy, as well as bossy with his inferiors. Self-centered and unapologetic to the core, the boy typically acted as he pleased, unconcerned with who else suffered at his expense and critical toward practically anyone who criticized him. Compounding this, he could be very sarcastic and was quick to insult others. This was especially true of his treatment towards his twin sister, Gretel; despite this, he still had some faith in his sister and at times relied on her.

Being a HER, Hänsel was also rather malicious, playing pranks on his false family as a child and later happily committing murder. Following his reincarnation as Pollo, Hänsel became wholly devoted to Carlos Marlon, serving his demonic lord in whatever he needed and acting uncharacteristically humble, albeit relatively casual, when conversing with him.

Likewise, after his reincarnation as Riliane "Lily" Beelzenia, the boy was extremely wary of Pale Clockworker and his manipulative ways, considering him a dangerous threat. Conversely, the boy acted uncharacteristically nervous with Rin Avadonia, struggling to express himself and even feeling guilty about some of his past crimes toward his previous incarnation's half-sister. However, he was still unable to break his arrogant behavior and actually apologize for his actions, though helping Rin as best he could in other ways.

Skills and Abilities[]

Due to being designed after Behemo of Levia-Behemo, Hänsel was an imperfect copy of one of the dragon gods. Hänsel also showed some other magical capabilities, as he was able to split the Original Sin into seven pieces and scatter them across the world.

Hänsel was able to reincarnate, his soul fated to be reborn in an identical body every few centuries, typically with his reincarnated sister as a twin. However, if either of the boy's fated parents had children with someone else before his intended birth, Hänsel could instead incarnate as one of those children instead or not incarnate in that particular reincarnation cycle at all.

After becoming a familiar to the Demon of Gluttony, Hänsel was able to possess others on her master's behalf, allowing him to act in the same capacity as the demon himself for his contractors. However, this also meant he shared his master's weaknesses, unable to manifest his spirit and move freely outside conceptual worlds due to the Third Period's rules. Possessing the combined experience of all his reincarnations, Hänsel was extremely skilled in assassination, espionage, cooking and menial service. These abilities made him fit to continue acting as Carlos' butler and adviser. After his awakening, Hänsel once again had a physical body; as one of the Servants, he was capable of wielding a knife to great effect, able to kill most of the intruders to Evil's Theater and serve them as meals to Carlos.

Character Connections[]

Seth Salmhofer: Hänsel's real father. Hänsel didn't remember Seth, growing up in Adam's care, but he later expressed a wish to find his "real" father after Eve and Adam were dead. He passed on a fanatic loyalty to Seth to most of his reincarnations, showing this loyalty to all his father figures and people resembling him.

Adam Moonlit: Hänsel's foster father. While initially considering Adam his father, at some point Hänsel realized he was not his true father and was resentful of this, causing his foster father trouble and acting out as a form of punishment. He later was convinced Adam was a wicked wizard after he and Gretel were abandoned by him. Delighting in Gretel's accomplishment after killing Adam, Hänsel later considered him to be a pretentious and troublesome man.

Eve Moonlit: Hänsel's foster mother. Hänsel grew up thinking of Eve as her mother, however he became convinced she was the wicked henchwoman of a wizard after he and Gretel were abandoned by her and delighted in bringing about her death. He appeared to have strong lingering resentment towards the woman for abandoning he and Gretel to starvation.

Gretel: Hänsel's twin sister. Hänsel loved her sister and was always beside her if he could help it, taking comfort from holding her hand and helping her defeat the wizard and henchwoman. He also acted as Gretel's voice of reason, telling her the truth of what she heard and saw after their foster parents were dead. He stayed with her after Adam's death and would usually be by her side in their reincarnations.

Pollo: One of Hänsel's reincarnations. Hänsel passed on his appearance and soul to Pollo's, and with it he passed on his loyalty to anyone resembling Seth. Despite this, Carlos has been made an exception due to his fair and overall better treatment towards Hänsel.

Lily Venom: One of Hänsel's reincarnations. Hänsel passed on his soul to Lily, and with it he passed on his loyalty to his father figures, such as Leonhart.

Lucifer Baldured: A fellow resident of Evil's Theater and Hänsel's friend. Getting along with him during their time together, Hänsel eventually gave Lucifer his own body in order to restore his will.
