I just though I needed to have a run down on our series which from here, despite expanding, goes no where plot wise.
The Daughter of Evil:
I think this is the first song that actually didn't use the vocaloids name, although the EC is made as it goes so I doubt she was named Riliane first. It was also just another "Princess Rin" song so I can't really give it props for that but the story itself was pretty original on the subject of Rin. That was the first time a Rin fanboy portrayed her in a bad way.
The Servant of Evil:
The Servant of Evil might as well have been named "Fangirl Magnet: The Song". It attracted the biggest portion of the Vocaloid fans and userbase. But that was only because it was sung by Len and not because it sequeld the song where Rin died. Still, it was in the planning before The Daughter of Evil was made, it you look at the lyrics it says 'without looking at the crowd "She" said...' a nod to the switch. So I congratulate it for carrying it predececor so well.
Regret Message:
Now Regret Message, if I recall rightly, was one of my favorite songs. But alot of my fondness for it relied heavely on the fact that it actually offerd a satifying ending for the series rather than let it eternaly ride the sequels like some other series I could original sin-I mean mention!
The Daughter of White:
This is probably the best SoE song ever and now I will tell you why. It's a song where you mix a Vocaloid and a Voyakilod without it sounding possesed. On top of that it dealt with being excluded and hated for being diffrent and also, being gay. Well it's never mentioned that they are gay but still. It also takes on forgiveness and redemtion. Like Riliane had basicly been a bitch all the time but we get to see that's she was actually a nice girl.
Twiright Prank:
I can't really say much about this. Well it's kinda cute but I really can't come up with anything else.
Wooden Maiden ~Thousand Year Wiegenlied~:
Second best no doubt, you can tell that alot of effort has been put into it. And also because it's about gays X). Well this also shows that you can't assume things like up untill this point we never knew what Michaela felt, only that Allen and Kyle loved her. So I find the les twist satisfying and cute.
Handbeat Clocktower
Like I said with The Servant of Evil: this needs to be renamed, to "Plot Twists' Galore". I really wasn't expecting there to be some great super villain. But hey it's not a midieval fantasy novel until there's an evil queen.
