Personally, I'm excited to read the short story. Hopefully mothy fleshes out the Graveyard ending more. Maybe even some new insights on how irregulars work?

    • Interesting. I was excting an exclusively EC album but it looks like he's including a lot of non-EC content on it too.

    • Mario GaGabriel posted the translation of the tracklist on youtube, i believe it belongs here

1- Genesis Girl Gretel (Kagamine Rin) 【NEW】

6- That King Was Born From Mud (Kagamine Len) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SQmOjAXBoc

7- Full Moon Laboratory (Kagamine Rin)【Maybe a remastered version and new lyrics like he added in Clockwork Lullaby】

8- The Frog's And My Love Romance (Kagamine Len) 【Maybe a remastered version】

12- Ending Boy Hänsel (Kagamine Len)

I'm confused, is it going to be released on 8.12 or 9.1 ?

That's great though, i'm hyped for Genesis Girl Gretel!

    • Interesting that the love romance song has had "Accelerating" added on to it idk what it is suposed to mean.

So LuLiLa is getting a "parade arrangement", so we have the "parade" connectionagain.

I hope this means that Letter she kept waiting for is now canon.

    • Slug has also posted about the new album, and has given us a translation of the tracklist:

      1. Creation Girl Gretel
      2. The Fictional Masquerade
      3. You Only Have to Double-Jump
      4. Torture Tower Doesn’t Sleep
      5. The Messenger of the Opposite Mirrors
      6. That King was Born From Mud
      7. Full Moon Laboratory
      8. Speeding Up the Frog’s and My Love Romance
      9. Unlock Blackbox (Instrumental)
      10. Reach for the Stars ~ The Letter She Kept Waiting For ~
      11. Lu Li La, Lu Li La the Resounding Song (Parade)
      12. Ending Boy Hansel

Just a little side note, Price translates 創世少女 as "girl of creation", and the wiki uses "Creation Girl" rather than "Genesis Girl".

on 8.12, mothy will be present at Summer Comic Market and will be at his booth selling physical copies of the album (including other albums and probably the keychains and O&L novel from his previous years at Summer Comiket)

on 9.1, mothy will be present at the Magical Mirai 2019 concert where he will also have a booth where he'll be selling his stuff

    • I though we had agreed on dubbing it "genesis girl" because "Sousei" literally means "genesis" Also to dub her simply creation girl would be incorrect since the original japanese title is "創世", yes it literally means "world creation" but the importnat thing is that her speciality is world creation or genesis. If it because prince once used it she has herself said that we don't need to correct our every translation after her.

        Loading editor
    • Where did we agree on it? Can you link to the post?

        Loading editor
    • I can't remember exactly were, it was a very long time ago. I remember that we discussed wether or not it should be creation girl or Genesis girl and then when the word "sousei" turned out to literally mean genesis we settled for that translation. I think it was three years ago. It might even have happened over chat.

    • I looked through the Names Retranslation Thread and the OSSCE thread (OSSCE is where the term first shows up), and I'm not getting anything. Will be reopening discussion on the term here.

    • Personally, I hope all the songs with new titles get new lyrics like Key of Word.

Also, on the cover of the Album, H&G are looking at what appear to be albums or books. If they are albums, I hope they are past ones mothy worked on. If they are books, I hope they are upcoming novels (*cough, cough* OSS) or (assuming one of the worlds Banica and co. go to is the TTDS World) the Ending Documents.

        Loading editor
    • They definitely aren't looking at books, unless they're rather thin, almost dimensionless and perfectly square books. I think they're record album cases. Though it probably doesn't matter much, anyways.

The little icons in the list confirm your thought about them being viynl records. The colours also relates to who is singing (and the instrumental)

    • So some interesting thing mothy dropped, goods for the album, a clearfile with images that represent the songs. Two songs are represented in each little "bubble"
      Eepins

Upper left bubble is Torture tower and Unlock blackbox (Remy from the series and Koudai Takahagi from unlock city)

Upper middle is Ending Boy and Genesis Girl (because it's Hänsel and Gretel)

Upper right is messengers of the infinity mirrors and frog love romance (Rin and Len and a frog and a snake)

Lower Left is Doublejump and Fictional masquarade

However I see something interesting in these last bubbles

Lower middle is suposed to be Resounding Son and The letter she kept waiting for and the person we see here is explicitly Riliane as a nun which suggests to me that this song has become canon again. The figures behind her representing Resounding Song look very similar to the characters on the cover of the Clockwork Lullaby album. I wonder how significant this is.

The lower right bubble is ofcourse King Born from mud and then FML. Arth is clearly seen but here we get a glimpse of the girl in fml and while it isn't much, she is shown to have dark blonde hair and is wearing a lab coat. Neat.

    • Awesooooome!

        Loading editor
    • The sillhouettes for Resounding Song look like they are supposed to be Hansel and Gretel over being the clockwork doll Rin and Len. (Also the clockwork Rin doesn't wear a bow while the sillhouette does)

Also very happy for us to finally get a visualization of the girl from FML when he straight up could have just given us a generic Rin design for her.

        Loading editor
    • Remy? The character's name is Raymond.

It does look like Letter She Kept Waiting For is canon again.

Do you think perhaps this is the significance of Seth saying that he tried to make Irina a Genesis Girl in O&L? Like that's somehow Irina standing behind Arth in some kind of Rin body? I mean obviously that might be a bit of a reach but it does feel a little like last minute foreshadowing to me, considering the idea of Irina being a Genesis Girl has never come up in any way before that point.

Oh I didn't even think about that. Good observation. So I guess it's safe to assume it's Hänsel and Gretel singing that song.

And yeah I forgot what Raymond's name was for a moment and all I could remember was that it started with an R

I may be reaching when it comes to the kind of theory your proposing but Irina being a failed Genesis Girl wouldn't be too far out of left field at all. Irina's destructive nature has always been attributed to her HERS but we know from Ma that Irregulars without counterparts are extremely destructive. Maybe she's always been more than a HER the whole time? Who knows.

Gift from the Evillious Discord I'm on translated this to

"Arte has almost no memories left of her "true father".

The writing in the centre of the disk

"Creation Girl Gretel", Arte's old name.

I don't think... there are any important secrets hidden here.

However, the girl, being a little curious

      Unhesitatingly opened the jukebox"

I wonder how Mothy is gonna tie Arte here with the rest of the series and the story!

        Loading editor
    • I wonder if H&G are in Evils Theater 1 or 2 on the Album cover?

I Also wonder why mothy paired the characters the way he did on the records in the crossfade.

Here are my thoughts: Hänsel and Gretel makes sense, as they are counterparts.

Hero & the MEIKO being on the same record makes sense to me bc their songs were made for videogames (I have a crack theory that the Meiko in FM is Germaine bc she was one of Irina's mediums).

Koudai & Raymond might be on the same record bc they are from 2 other works mothy said weren't related to EC (Hopefully Banica goes to the TTDS World & the Fourth Period, but unlikely).

Len & Rin being on the same record as the Snake and Frog might just to be there to show the Frog's female and Snake's male (I wish the snake & frog were Berioad & Romarius. Beritoad's confirmed to be a guy but IMO his humanoid design looks feminine).

Arth & the FML girl might be on the same record bc their respective songs have to do with life being created.

Riliane and Hänsel & Gretel could be on the same one because Riliane was Gretel's intended reincarnation.

        Loading editor
    • Len and Rin being on there with the snake and the frog is because that record is also representing the Infinity Mirrors song. I don't think it's a commentary on the snake and frog's genders.

        Loading editor
    • So by the Nun Rin record image I think it's safe to assume that the narrators for Resounding Song are Hänsel and Gretel and that "Letter she kept waiting for" is canon once again.

I've started working on a page just to be prepared.

        Loading editor
    • So mothy has stated the the reason the Letter she kept waiting for arrangement is titled "reach for the stars" is because he wanted to put "Re" in the beginning.

So I guess this means it is now connected to re_birthday as well. I'm not sure what to think at this point.

Any way can we say that it is with the "re" comment that it is now undoubtly canon again?

        Loading editor
    • I personally still have doubts on it being canon again and I don't think it should be assumed canon because mothy said he wanted to include the "Re" prefix in the title of the new version.

I think we should wait for the album to come out and see what is in the booklet before discussing whether it should be considered canon again. Maybe the booklet will give new info who knows.

        Loading editor
    • Yeah, I mean the fact that he wanted to put "Re" in the title could have just been a one-off joke on his part. We shouldn't assume just by virture of it being included in the album that it's canon (I mean, considering Double Jump, Masquerade, and Infinity Mirrors are on there too).

I will say though the fact that it's represented by nun!Riliane on its record pic does lend credence to the idea...

Is quite possible considering mothy made the poll in which the OS novel option won last year, so that would've given him enough time to have a manuscript ready by now.

        Loading editor
    • Could the symbol in the pamphlet be the symbol/flag/coat of arms of the old Levianta, the Magic Kingdom?

Plus on an unrelated note, it has also twelve gears, could it be just following the Clockwork Lullaby theme, or could it have an actual OSS-era meaning...?

        Loading editor
    • I imagine it is the symbol of the Magic Kingdom Levianta (I never noticed it till now looking at this symbol that those pointy parts of the symbol look like two cartoonish dragon heads)

There is probably a high chance of this novel taking place after MotHY so I'm excited to see OSS finally as a novel and explanations on how the whole Court Ending works

        Loading editor
    • True, the symbol is likely what it was during the OSS era, which ghe triangular thingy was used for later Holy Levianta, which I also wonder what symbolism it has, is there a particular mountain in Levianta?

But yeah, the pointy things plus the wings on the shield likely are a reference, if not outright being symbols of the Twin Dragons!

And as you say the novel might take place after MotHY, which makes me wonder if it'll be very different as in the original OSS era, and if it is not, maybe mothy could make two novels, one being the OSS event pre-court and the other one post-court!

    • So I've discovered the english titles for the songs

Genesis Girl Gretel - Arte's Theme

      Torture Tower - Torture Moira

King Born from Mud - King of Lucifenia

      FML - Loneliness in Laboratory

Love romance - He Has Originality

      Letter waiting- Lost Last

resounding song - Clockwork Parade (meaning it is part of the clockwork lullaby series)

Interestingly, Fictional Masquerade is given the title "Clockwork Masquarade", and I'm not entierly sure if this means it is canon to ec now.

      here's the source

    • The link's not working, also I thought Fictional Masqurade was for a Video Game.

        Loading editor
    • For those who can’t get the link open the other English titles are

      Double Jump - Go!KakedashiYuusya

      Infinity Mirrors - Angel Mirror

Ending Boy Hänsel - Pollo's Theme

As for Masquerade the song PV doesn’t seem to have any relationship with the game it was made for so it could be like “Screw,Gears and Pride” where it “may” take place in an alternative universe, tho we should wait until what the booklet says about it before we can make any conclusions.

        Loading editor
    • Even though Clockwork is in the English title of Resounding Song I don't think it can be considered part of the Clockwork Lullaby series yet. (I wonder though if it'll join the lettered ones being called like Clockwork Lullaby L or something)

It is interesting though to see Fictional Masqurade given a title that may connect it to EC in some way. Can't wait to see that booklet

Seth is recognized as the twins "Father" too. Nice.

From waht I understand Seth lived at somepoint in the Theater, him having the library filled wit akashik recorder things.

Im curious about who the "Fat man" is. Maybe Eater, Ron or even Vlad given a new body by Lich.

      • Seth apparently lived/stayed in Evil's Theater II, long enough to make it messy.
      • The "fat man" is probably Vlad.
      • Arte's "second father" is likely Adam. He mentions knowing about Akashic Records, which makes sense since he's a Leviantan scientist.

    • Um, I don't know if anyone's mentioned this yet, but Original Sin Story Complete and Muzzle of Nemesis are available for pre-order on American iTunes.

    • Since that topic's not really related to the Evils Extra album, I'll be redirecting any discussion for that to the OSSCE thread and the Muzzle novel thread.

    • Price has translated the lyrics for Genesis Girl Gretel.

    • "She killed the parents who raised her

And killed the steward who saved her"

Is this new information? I don't think we know anything about Gretel's life (the second one) before she became a maid for Conchita.

The parent thing seems to be new, but I think the steward might be Ron.

    • It's likely talking about her killing Eve as Gretel, and then her killing Ron as Arte, as a summation of her first two lives.

Probably not, since the lyrics already talked about her first life, and this is a portion talking about her second life. The layout of the song seems to imply that this was as Arte.

    • I don't think so. For those two lines to be talking about just Arte gives an arbitrary imbalance to Arte's part in that verse of the chorus. I read the lines as giving a commonality to Gretel's first two lives, which is later shared by her third one: she keeps killing her parents (Ron just barely counting as a parental figure.) That way the first two lives both have three lines each dedicated to them overall, and all of the lives have the essential information of: What was her profession, where was she geographically, and who did she kill?

    • Looking at the new lyrics for Parade, (I think) it talks about the gods walking. I don't know what kodou means, but the word was mentioned after the demons were brought up. Also after the song mentions light shining in a bottle, it talks about a soul dwelling in a black miniature garden. Most likely it's referring to Allen but the miniature garden part makes me think of Irina.

I still think it's talking about her life as Arte. In Ending Boy Hänsel, the similar part describes Hänsel's three lives. I see this version as a parallel to that, describing Gretel's three lives. First four lines are the first one, the second four are the second one and the third four are the third one. It's not 100% similar (in Gretel's version the first two lines of the first part are not about her first life, and the third one is longer than four lines) but the parallel is there.

    • If I recall correctly, the Waltz guidebook is where we get the info that Arte and Pollo lost their parents. Maybe someone could read through it to cross-reference? Here's the link to Redladydeath's scans.

    • I don't really see how what you're saying contradicts Octo's point. Of course it's a parallel to Hansel's song; why wouldn't it be? But we also can't say that it's a direct 1:1 parallel either, because Hansel's song is broken up differently too.

What Octo said made sense. If we assume the "killing parents" line is about Arte, then that means that Arte gets 4 lines compared to Gretel only getting 2. How it relates to the third segment in terms of lines is irrelevant because mothy put that one into a separate stanza all on its own. I think it is just meant to be a summation of the events of the first two lives.

Also Greek, if you could point to WHERE in Waltz it says this information, that would be more helpful than just pointing in its general direction (I don't mean to sound rude, it's just that I'd rather not comb over the entire book for something that may or may not even be in there).

    • I think now's a good time to discuss what we're going to be doing with Reach for the Stars: The Letter She Kept Waiting For.

My position is that it should be considered canon (explicitly the Reach for the Stars version) and the info from it added onto pages (what little there is.)

Probably we'd treat the actual song page the same as we treated the Clockworker edition of Recollective Music Box vs the original. Although since the lyrics are changed so much, and it might be an issue of the remastered version is canon while the original was not, it might deserve its own page.

I think this is a reasonable step for us to take, since mothy made deliberate changes to tie the song closer to canon in the lyrics, vocals, and the image he used to represent it (even the title was chosen, as Misstress said, to make a nod to Re_birthday.)

      Thoughts? Dissensions?

        Loading editor
    • I agree with Octofan that it is now canon, the remastered version one, though exactly how it'd fit I am not very sure, since mothy said he wanted to also start the song with a Re, and like the others have said, I too think it is like a counterpart or related song to Re_birthday.

On that I have two theories about it, that mothy somehow changed his mind and maybe it is indeed a song about Rilliane, or maybe it is in the same position as Re_birthday, as in it is explicitly canon, but right now in a weird place, as in not explicitly said where or who the song is about, like Re_birthday.

        Loading editor
    • ...How exactly is it ambiguous who and what the song is about?

The issue with Re_Birthday is that there's a bunch of characters it could apply to, and a lot of references that are made to it in various places that muddle the issue. Reach for the Stars is pretty clear. It's about Riliane, the painter is Kyle, and the person that died for her is Allen. There's really no other characters it could be referring to.

It's possible mothy wanted to make a shoutout to Re_birthday in the title, yeah, but that doesn't mean we have to pretend that the song is the same confusing mess just to make them similar. I don't think it requires any theorizing--mothy clearly just changed his mind on its canonicity and changed the lyrics to make it more specific to Evillious instead of "nun who was originally Riliane but is now a separate character", like Octo was saying.

        Loading editor
    • I agree with treating Reach for the Stars as canon and putting the info from it on the pages. I'm also open to the idea of it having a separate page, since there are lyric changes and that's the only version of the song that's canon.

        Loading editor
    • SHould we perhaps make a tab for that page?

        Loading editor
    • Why would we make a tab if we're making them separate pages?

        Loading editor
    • Tabs are a "here's version A and here's version B" kind of thing, so I see the appeal for this instance.

    • The booklet mentioned that all souls corrode with exception of the Gods'. I wonder if the Clockwork Secret Art could counteract that or at least slow down the process? I also wonder how long it takes a soul to fully corrode. Lich isn't a god and he's still around.

Also, in Genesis Girl Gretel, Gretel mentioned the seed implanted in Meta split into two, creating Hänsel & Gretel. I wonder if all Irregulars are originally one being. Is that why we didn't see Neo Eve in Capriccio Farce?

    • It's been a week and there aren't any objections to treating Reach for the Stars as canon, so I think that's settled. I'm also going to give the go-ahead for a tab for the page to be drafted.

Aside from that, if anyone could add the lyrics to The Song that Resounds, that'd be great. Just follow what we have for Recollective Musicbox.

Edit: I'm also giving the go-ahead to add info from the album booklet. Should just be one-sentence updates for Banica, her servants, Vlad, Ron and Seth.

    • Oh yeah, should we also publish the page for the album too at this point...?

    • I'm also giving the go-ahead to add the lyrics for the new version of Love Romance, following the way we did Recollective Musicbox.

    • On the front & backside of the cover, I noticed some things: a blade of a sword, a painting of a couple, (I thought I saw a lab coat?). Could those be allusions to the songs in the album like how the cover of Clockwork Lullaby had references to its respective songs?

The blade could referencing from Fictional Masquerade given the singer was a swordsman

The painting could be one of Kyle's paintings but I think it could also be a reference to The Frog and My Love Romance.

        Loading editor
    • What painting of a couple? You mean that painting next to the sword with all the abstract blotches that doesn't look like anything?

On the front cover that could be a lab coat (Seth was the previous occupant of the room they're in) but it could also just as easily be a curtain or a blanket. If you're talking about the one on the back cover, that could also be a curtain or blanket before I'd say lab coat.

Why would Ichika only make references to two songs in the album?
