Song of the Third Period is a song released by Akuno-P on August 10, 2018 on the Clockwork Lullaby album. It is the thirteenth song in the Clockwork Lullaby Series, and is sung by the souls in the Third Period, led by Michaela as they prepare to move on to the next world.

Plot[]

After Allen and Riliane created the Fourth Period with the Re_birthday function, the souls from the Third Period start to gather in the Millennium Tree Forest in preparation to move onto the new world. Upon Michaela's encouragement, they begin singing about how, even as time continues to move on and their new journey awaits, they will surely be changed someday. They continue that, in spite of all the pain they might and have experienced, it is part of who they are; even if they don't know what awaits them in the Fourth Period, they will press on without needing a "utopia".

Conceptualization and Origin[]

The song resembles Japanese graduation songs, with its slow tempo and chorus singing; the song follows the souls of the Third Period moving onto the Fourth Period.

Curiosities[]

The piano melody of Master of the Heavenly Yard can be heard at the start of the song.
In the Clockwork Lullaby album, Kiril Clockworker notes that the singing voices of the souls have reached him in Angolmois, discovering that there are more songs in the Clockwork Lullaby.^[1]
