In this adventure, I was two different Lens at the same time and one of them was the King of Marlon. It was more or less the beginng to Praefacio where Kyle's ship is boarded by pirates and Kyle spends far too much time in flashbacks than reporting on the action. In one of these flashbacks (which King Len was narating in the dream), Kyle complains that his mother never allowed him to be tuaght swordsplay because, in accordance with Marlon military tradition, the king does not stand in the front line of battle but instead directs his soldiers from behind them. And Kyle doesn't pursue the issue because he is Kyle and he always obeys his mother.
The non-prince Len cuts in at this point and asks, "She didn't teach you how to defend yourself, right? Wasn't that on purpose?" And Prince Len laughs, "Ahahahaha of course not aha... aha... well, f*** you're right."
Which was more or less my reaction when I woke up. I don't think it was ever mentioned later in the book, but it's pretty sketchy that Prim, a notable murderer, never taught her son to defend himself against attack or at the very least prevented him from earning any power for himself. It seems highly intentional for her.
So why don't you have two very bizarre ones. (The second acts as a prequel to the first.)
1. As the Irregular, I had just woken up from his slumber/whatever but knew everything that had happened and would happen because of the Black Box. I found the Waiter who had just been reincarnated. She still thought she was Pride-possessed Riliane and was a real pain in the butt because she didn't want to go anywhere and complained about her feet hurting (if I recall correctly, I had several miles the day before the dream). However, the Master of the Graveyard and her Servants (along with the reanimated corpse of Ron Grapple) were chasing on an airship. The MotG was a witch and wanted to devour us so "I can be together with my children again!" As we were running away, she began to cause a hurricane that magically didn't affect her airship. The Waiter had no clue what was going on and all I knew is that we were going to be killed so we had to run through slummy Louisiana during a hurricane while climbing fences and avoiding dogs while wearing chains. I never did find out if we were captured.
2. In this dream, I was Allen witnissing Riliane. The dream began with us as five-year olds and the palace was being raided and ransacked. Germaine captured Riliane and then Germaine collapsed and revealed herself to be Eve (think Bathilda Bagshot becoming Nagini). Eve claimed herself to be our "real mother" and put a portion of her soul in Riliane so she could control her. Because I was hidden, Eve didn't find me and before she could take Riliane away, I sent a palace boy to steal Riliane's soul. I put it within myself and then threw myself off a cliff.
I woke up about eight years later in Riliane. I could see from her and look and know everything. I could even see the future but I didn't know where my body and Riliane's soul had gone. Riliane was being controlled by Eve and still had the mental capacity of a five-year-old. Oddly enough, she was also naked for the entire portion of the dream. Riliane was "loved" by her mother (named Sofia, a rich neurosurgeon and owner of an empire of junk shops, now instead of Eve (that's enough Bioshock for a while)) who looked like that step-mother from Cinderella. Riliane was mostly left to her own brain-washed devices in a Black Box of her own. It was a machine tutor named Micheal that wanted to have its way with Riliane but couldn't quite do it since it was a machine (although it probably would have figured out how to if I hadn't woken up in time; it learned how to reincarnate as the Servants later).
I was also in contact with a group of people called the Returners (that's enough Final Fantasy for a while). The group had my body and Riliane's soul with them but they didn't know how to wake it up. I had to get Riliane's body to her soul if either of us wanted to be back in the right body. I couldn't directly control Riliane without Eve noticing so I had to nudge her unconciously to find the Returners and go into the woods with them to my body. At this point I learned that Riliane thought her name was Alice and her mother had found her abandoned in the woods. We told her that she was stolen and she began to panick.
I think they got her calmed down but I began blacking out (returning to my own body as her soul returned to hers) and had a weird vision where a man with enormous bat wings and no face (Slender Sickle) told me that when I was returned to my body, I would be blind because I had seen everything now. Eve would find us both and lock us in the Tower of Babel and we must destroy Pride forever, thus destroying the Tower, if we wanted to be reborn.
And then I woke up, thus ending the weirdest version of Rapunzel I have ever heard of.
These are some very bizzare dreams O_o I can't tell if it's a gift or not lol. It sounds like you have crossovers too. Man, why can't my dreams be this exciting and EC filled though? I get boring RL filled ones orz. They were very interesting owo. Thanks for sharing them.
