Marigold Plateau

Merrigod Plateau[note 1] was the major plateau in the Kingdom of Elphegort and the base of the criminal organization Apocalypse. Previously a territory within the Magic Kingdom Levianta, it eventually broke off and became part of Elphegort.

Early HistoryEdit

At some point, Merrigod Plateau became a territory of the Magic Kingdom Levianta and the town of Calgaround was founded on top of it in the center. It was later used as a hideout by the criminal organization Apocalypse. Sometime after, the plateau became part of the Kingdom of Elphegort's territory.[1] After the death of Pale Noël, a tomb was constructed on its northern tip and the man was buried there.[2] At some point, Elphegort's royal family began using the plateau as a vacation spot during the summer, utilizing it for centuries.[1]

Lucifenia-Elphegort WarEdit

Sometime after, a fortress was constructed on the plateau. During the Lucifenia-Elphegort War in EC 500, King Thorny Elphen retreated to the fortress with the Elphegortean main army after being pushed back by Lucifenian forces.[3] Coordinating a counterattack with the Lucifenian Resistance, the Elphegortean army pushed an offensive;[4] once the enemy kingdom was defeated and their army surrendered, Thorny returned to the capital of Aceid.

Duel of Merrigod PlateauEdit

On January 26, EC 611, Julia Abelard took refuge in Pale Noël's tomb. On January 30, Elluka Clockworker and Gumillia confronted Julia at the tomb and engaged her in battle. Shortly after, Lemy Abelard joined the duel and the four fought for hours before Lemy was killed.[2] After Julia self-destructed her true body to finish off her enemies,[5] the newly formed Ma left the tomb.[6] Later that day, the World Police arrived and recovered Germaine Avadonia and the vessels of sin Julia had left from the tomb.[7]

World's EndEdit

In EC 999, Merrigod Plateau was completely decimated by Punishment. Following the end of the Third Period, the destruction site merged with the Hellish Yard along with the rest of the ground world.[8]

Apocalypse CliffEdit

Apocalypse Cliff[note 2] was a cliff located on the northern tip of the plateau. Named after the criminal organization Apocalypse, its leader, Pale Noël, was buried at his tomb there. Countless flowers of the plateau grew on the cliff.[2]

Pale Noël's TombEdit

Pale Noël's Tomb[note 3] was the tomb of Pale Noël. The tomb consisted of a cave leading deep underground into a central main chamber. The tomb was covered in glowing moss that lit the inside. The main chamber was engraved with symbols. It was the site of Julia and Lemy Abelard's duel with Elluka Clockworker and Gumillia.[2]

The city built upon the plateau. Following the Levianta Catastrophe and the end of Apocalypse, Levin followers of Meta flocked to the town. It passed down numerous legends of the Flower of the Plateau over the centuries.[1] It later became the location for Evillious' black market.[9]
