Established as the kingdom's figurehead and prophet under her public identity, she prophesied the destruction of the [[Third Period|world]] if the twin dragon [[gods]] [[Levia]]-[[Behemo]] weren't [[Reincarnation|incarnated]] as [[humans]].

===Early Life===
Born sometime during the [[BT]] era, Maria grew up in an special orphanage owned by the [[Loop Octopus Clan]]. At age fourteen she was struck by lightning and received a "divine revelation" from the twin [[gods]] [[Levia]]-[[Behemo]], who told her they were her parents.{{ref|book|Original Sin Story: Crime|Chapter 1}} As a result, she became the [[Magic Kingdom Levianta]]'s queen and prophet for her ability to commune with Levia and Behemo, given the public name of "Alice Merry-Go-Round",{{ref|album|Original Sin Story: Complete Edition|Act 1}} like the other six queens before her. As part of her new identity, the Senate erased any and all record of her past.{{ref|book|Original Sin Story: Crime|Afterword}}

In the BT 020s, Alice became pregnant with twins, [[Adam Moonlit|Adam]] and [[Eve Moonlit|Eve]],{{ref|book|Original Sin Story: Crime|Chapter 3}} in an allegedly virgin conception. The Senate refused to believe her claim, with Senator [[Miroku Loop Octopus]] trying to make Maria have an abortion. Maria then became a fugitive to protect her children. After a year on the run, she was captured; Miroku then had her children disposed of in a river to prevent a potential scandal.{{ref|book|Original Sin Story: Crime|Chapter 1}} When the scientist [[Seth Twiright]] appeared, Alice was allegedly the one who invited him into the Magic Kingdom Levianta to work as one of its researchers.{{ref|book|Deadly Sins of Evil: The Muzzle of Nemesis|7}} She also allegedly made efforts to eradicate the [[HER]] populace.{{ref|book|Deadly Sins of Evil: Master of the Heavenly Yard|Chapter 2}}

Around this time, the Senate also established [[Project 'Ma']] to birth suitable twin vessels for the gods to inhabit, and eventually the twins [[Hänsel]] and [[Gretel]] were born. Maria was a weak-willed and troubled woman. After becoming the Queen of Levianta, she acted as a puppet ruler for the Senate,{{ref|album|Original Sin Story: Complete Edition|Adam Moonlit}} she herself being aware of her status as a figurehead.{{ref|book|Deadly Sins of Evil: Master of the Heavenly Yard|Chapter 12}} She was also extremely devoted to the twin gods Levia and Behemo, believing them to be her parents. Following her death, her personality seemed to shift into a more malicious one, though whether this was due to her time spent as part of Madam Merry-Go-Round is unknown. As her soul fused with that of Irina, the latter described it as though she had a separate personality in her heart {{ref|book|Original Sin Story: Punishment|Chapter 5}}; as Irina was born a "dud" with no malice, this then stemmed from Maria.

Maria was proficient in magic.
