Gakusha

Gakusha was a travelling monk living in Jakoku during the ninth century EC; coming to Enbizaka in Onigashima, the monk came across a severed head gibbeted in the town and asked the townspeople what crime it had committed. After learning the story of the tailor, Kayo Sudou, and the murders she committed, the monk went away wondering why the lovely woman of the story murdered those people.

The next day, he approached the severed head again to perform the proper rites for the murderess and found a boy there. Questioning who he was, Gakusha learned that the child had been the one to cut Kayo's head off. Joining hands with the boy, the monk chanted the rites for the murderess before going on his way.

Gato Octo

Gato Octo was the fourteenth head of the Octo Family living in Jakoku and the father of Kagura. Born sometime during the later 8th century EC, Gato eventually became the head of the family and sired a daughter, naming her Kagura.[1] At some point, he sired and raised another child.

Kagura Octo

Kagura Octo was a tailor living in Jakoku and the mother of Kayo. Born during the turn of the 9th century EC, the daughter of Gato Octo, Kagura eventually acquired scissors and kept them in her possession.[2] Later on, she entered a relationship with Nagare Sudou. At some point, she became a tailor like Nagare. After becoming pregnant with his child, the tailor gave birth to a girl in EC 822, naming her Kayo.

At some point, Kagura told her daughter that a pair of scissors were like a married couple, claiming that the blades carry out their tasks by being close and scraping against one another.[3] Sometime later, she was killed in a fire along with Kayo's husband and child.[4] After her death, her daughter used her keepsake scissors while running a tailor shop in Enbizaka, later killing several women with the blades.[5]

Kai Miroku

Blue

Kai Miroku was the male member of a family of four in Jakoku, murdered by Kayo Sudou.[6] In EC 842, he walked with one of the girls in his family through mainstreet.[7] After her murder, he grieved in front of a bridge, comforted by one of the other girls.[8] Following said girl's death, he bought the youngest girl a hairpin.[9] Soon after, she too was killed. Sometime afterward, he was approached by Kayo and asked if she was beautiful.[10] After happily greeting her as he would any stranger, the furious Kayo murdered him like she did the rest of his family.[11] He is possibly represented by the Vocaloid KAITO.

Len

Len was a boy who lived in Ebizaka during the mid EC 800s. In the aftermath of Kayo Sudou's crime, the child cut the woman's head off and hung it at the site of her execution as a memorial for others. At some point, he visited the site and was greeted by a traveling monk, Gakusha. After being asked who he was, Len told him that he was the one who cut off her head and said that Kayo was a sinful but pitiful woman. Joining hands with Gakusha, Len chanted the traditional rites for the dead murderess.

Mei Miroku

Mei Miroku was a member of an Enbizaka family in Jakoku, murdered by Kayo Sudou.[12] In EC 842, she walked through Enbizaka with the male member of her family on the main street, wearing a beautiful red kimono.[13] Soon after, she was murdered by the envious Kayo and deprived of her kimono.[14] After retailoring it, Kayo went on to kill the rest of her family.[15] She is represented by the Vocaloid MEIKO.

Miku Miroku

Miku Miroku was a member of an Enbizaka family in Jakoku, murdered by Kayo Sudou.[16] Following her mother's death in EC 842, she comforted a grieving male member of the family in front of a bridge, wearing a green sash.[17] Soon after, she was murdered by the envious Kayo and deprived of her sash.[18] After retailoring it, Kayo went on to kill the rest of her family.[19] She is represented by the Vocaloid Hatsune Miku.

Nagare Sudou

Nagare Sudou was a tailor living in Jakoku and the father of Kayo. Born during the turn of the 9th century EC, Nagare eventually became a tailor. At some point, he entered a relationship with Kagura Octo. He later sired a child with Kagura, naming her Kayo.[20]

Rin Miroku

Rin Miroku was the youngest member of an Enbizaka family in Jakoku, murdered by Kayo Sudou.[21] After the deaths of the other two female members in EC 842, she was bought a golden hairpin in the marketplace.[22] Soon after, she was murdered by the envious Kayo and deprived of her gift. Kayo later wore the hairpin with the other stolen clothes to seduce the male member of the family,[23] only to kill him when he didn't recognize her.[24] She is represented by the Vocaloid Kagamine Rin.

Greed

Bogaerts

Bogaerts was the financial manager of the celebrity, Scherzer. As Scherzer continued abducting women to satisfy his lusts, Bogaerts learned that his niece had also been captured for Scherzer's personal fancies. Disgusted by his sadism, he set up a meeting with Chief Justice Gallerian Marlon at a bar and revealed the details of Scherzer's crimes. Knowing of the judge's corruption, he arranged for the entirety of the celebrity's fortune to be given to Gallerian if the judge finally convicted him. Gallerian agreed and, after Scherzer was tried and was sentenced to death, Bogaerts gave him his desired wealth.[25]

Bruno Zero

Bruno Zero was an aide to Supreme Court Director Gallerian Marlon. Born during the EC 900s, Bruno eventually became part of the Dark Star Court Bureau, become Chief Justice Gallerian's close aide. At some point, Bruno was made to oversee the Dark Star Bureau's espionage force, PN.

Kacherina

Kacherina was a maid of Gallerian Marlon. When knocking, she would be much stronger and less clear than the other servants, a trait Gallerian noted when she would knock before disturbing him.[26]

Larisa

Larisa was a maid of Gallerian Marlon. When knocking, she would distinctly knock three times, a trait Gallerian noted when she would knock before disturbing him.[27]

Michelle Marlon

Michelle Marlon was the daughter of Gallerian and Mira Marlon. Born in the late EC 900s, Michelle went on a trip with her mother on the Titanus in EC 978. While sailing back from the trip, a freak giant octopus attacked the ship and Michelle drowned in the ensuing sinking.[28] Following her death, Gallerian decided to collect the vessels of sin, believing a doll he collected to be the real her.[29] She is represented by Hatsune Miku.

Mira Marlon

Mira Marlon was the wife of Gallerian Marlon.[30] Born in the EC 900s, Mira later met and married the the young Gallerian and bore him a daughter, Michelle. In EC 978, she went on a trip with her daughter on the Titanus. While sailing back from the trip, a freak giant octopus attacked the ship and Mira was killed during the apparent accident.[31] Following her death, her grieving husband decided to collect the vessels of sin, believing a doll to be their surviving daughter from the accident.[32]

Rennert

Rennert was a butler of Gallerian Marlon. In EC 978, Rennert informed Gallerian that Ma had come to visit him. Later that night, he learned that Gallerian's wife and daughter were in an accident and swiftly enter the judge's study without permission. Shaking his sleeping master awake, Rennert informed him of the grim news. Rennert had a moustache and, when knocking, he would knock twice, a trait Gallerian noted when he would knock before disturbing him.[33]

Scherzer

Scherzer was one of the world's leading celebrities in the Union State of Evillious and a sadistic criminal. In the early EC 980s, he began kidnapping famous women and imprisoning them in his basement. As the incident went on, he was arrested for assaulting a woman and placed on trial. Appealing to Gallerian Marlon's sense of greed, he was judged innocent. Later on, Scherzer met with Gallerian to thank the judge for saving him. After Gallerian warned him to be careful around women, he laughed and jumped out the window, saying he would keep that in mind. Once the police discovered the missing women in his home, Scherzer fled the estate.

At Gallerian's home, he begged the judge to save him again; Gallerian agreed, if paid ten times the amount, much to Scherzer's chagrin. When the curious judge asked about his crimes despite having such wealth, Scherzer explained his his irresistible desire to break women of their hope and retorted that Gallerian was no different, so long as he had money. After agreeing to their deal's terms, Scherzer went on trial again, confident in his release and ignoring the testimony of his subordinate, Bogaerts. Shocked to hear Gallerian find him guilty, the furious Scherzer attempted to speak out but was gagged and restrained.

Later, the judge visited him in prison and said he wished to clarify his reasons for convicting him. The Chief Justice explained how he didn't hate him but that, in his lust, he had been careless; he explained that one of the women he kidnapped was the niece of Bogaerts and pointed out how the man was Scherzer's financial manager, meaning Gallerian was never paid at all for helping him. Gallerian then zealously revealed he and Bogaerts made a deal for the judge to acquire Scherzer's entire fortune had he judged him guilty. As Gallerian left, he told him he was scheduled for execution the next day and Scherzer screamed through his gag. As planned, he was executed the next day.[34]

Tony Ausdin

Tony Ausdin was a general of the Union State of Evillious. He was tried for war crimes he had commited but was exonerated by Gallerian Marlon after the judge accepted a bribe. During the Leviantan Civil War that followed, Tony was brutally murdered in the midst of the chaos and his corpse was later discovered in his backyard.[35] He is possibly represented by the Vocaloid Tonio.
