In January of EC 611, Elluka and Gumillia asked him to take them to Toragay again; on the way, he tried to make small talk with them as he noticed the tense atmosphere. He continued on driving as the conversation died and the two sisters talked amongst themselves, until Gatt Coulomb stopped the carriage by decapitating the horse.
