Gumina Glassred is an aristocrat who originally lived in Asmodean, which was under the control of Beelzenia at the time. She was a childhood friend of Venomania, but by the time he seduced her into his harem she had become another of his tormentors.

History

Early Life

Gumina was once childhood friends with Sateriajis Venomania, whom she was engaged to be married to. She also became friends with his older brother Cherub, who had been hidden away due to his deformity. Cherub eventually fell in love with Gumina during their friendship. At some point, for unknown reasons, Gumina also came to mock and scorn his appearance just like all others who saw him.

The Venomania Event

Around EC 136, at age 21 Gumina was seduced by the Duke Venomania, who was really Cherub using his brother's identity. When Kachess Crim stabbed the Duke she broke free of his spell and fled the mansion with the others. She lingered behind for just a second to look upon the Duke one more time.

Legacy

Later in life Gumina exiled herself to Elphegort, where she became its first woman prime minister and an advocate for women's rights. She also came across and started worshipping the Tree of Eldoh, where she was seen by the forest spirit Gumillia. In the Story of Evil, Gumillia would choose a human form that looked like Gumina.

Gumina gets a brief cameo at the end of Chrono Story as Elluka Clockworker finds Venomania's mansion.

The Lunacy of Duke Venomania (EC 136)

Gumina is introduced halfway into the The Lunacy of Duke Venomania as his childhood friend who tormented him. Because of his deal with the devil, she is as entranced with him as all the other women. She duets with Meilis Beelzenia to discuss about how all the women have been vanishing without a trace, leaving behind loved ones. When the spell is broken, she is the last woman to leave the mansion, but she does not stay with Venomania as he bleeds out. He desperately tries to make her stop, realizing that he loves her, but she walks out the doorway.

Connections to Other Characters

Duke Sateriajis Venomania: Gumina and Venomania were once friends, but as they got older, the former began to bully the latter. Once Venomania gained the power to charm women, he made Gumina join his harem. After the spell breaks, Gumina leaves him to die even as he confesses his love for her.

Gumillia: When Gumillia became a human, she chose to have a body that resembled Gumina.

Trivia

It was shown in the manga that she played the violin and had a hatred of rain.
