Yuu[note 1], is a professional Japanese illustrator for Evillious Chronicles, known for their extravagant, fantasy style. They began collaborating with Akuno-P in his first novel series, drawing various interior illustrations and covers for the databooks. While continuing to provide illustrations for coming novels, they would also begin to provide illustrations for PVs.
History[]
Early Work[]
Yuu first discovered the series in autumn 2008 with The Daughter of Evil and The Servant of Evil, becoming a fan when the songs had hit their first peak in popularity. They began to officially contribute to the Chronicles in 2010 when they were hired to make character profiles for Akuno-P's first novel, The Daughter of Evil: Clôture of Yellow, making them one of the first illustrators for the novel series alongside KIM DONGHOON and Yunomi. They later illustrated character profiles in the sequel The Daughter of Evil: Wiegenlied of Green the next year, her illustration being featured in the promotional short PV Tree Maiden ~Millennium Wiegenlied~. Later the same year, they took part in illustrating for Entr'acte of Evil: The Daughter of Evil Worldguide, making the cover, compiling the character profiles from the first novel into one color spread, and including illustrations of Riliane Lucifen d'Autriche and Michaela in the artist comment section.
In the databook, they took part in an interview chapter with Ichika and Suzunosuke, two other prominent artist of the series, talking about how moved they are by how the series has progressed and expressed gratitude for being able to work with mothy. Later year they provided character profiles in The Daughter of Evil: Praeludium of Red aswell as making an illustration for the artists' comment section featuring Riliane and Michaela, congratlating mothy on his third novel.
Beyond The Daughter of Evil[]
In 2012, they were hired to illustrate for their first PV Flower of the Plateau, asked to make a piece that could be open to interpretation. Later that year they made a color spread of Anne Swee and Prim Marlon in The Daughter of Evil: Praefacio of Blue, as well an illustration of Riliane in the artists' comments, thanking mothy and the fans. Some of their illustrations were featured in the PV for Handbeat Clocktower. In August, they had made the cover for Epic of Evil: The Daughter of Evil Fanbook as well as illustrated The Daughter of Fog, a short story included in the databook. In December they had had old illustrations of theirs featured in The Daughter of Evil Schedule Book 2013 and had a character profile made for Deadly Sins of Evil: The Lunacy of Duke Venomania.
In 2013, they made a color spread of Kayo Sudou and the Miroku women for Waltz of Evil: The Deadly Sins of Evil Guidebook. In 2015 Yuu illustrated a PV once again, The Portrait Glassred Drew returning to Evillious after a one year hiatus. In March the same year Yuu drew color spread for Deadly Sins of Evil: Fifth Pierrot of Gumillia, Elluka Clockworker and Julia Abelard. An illustration of hers was also featured in the PV for Ending Boy Hänsel which could only be downloaded by scanning said illustration. In 2017, they made an illustration of Riliane and Allen for the artists' comments section in Deadly Sins of Evil: Master of the Heavenly Yard, based on the music video of The Servant of Evil, congratulating mothy on finishing the series. After this Yuu would not make another contribution until 2023, when they provided an illustration of Margarita Blankenheim for the Symphony of Evil event.
