Fifth Pierrot is a song released by Akuno-P on June 3, 2011. It follows the story of Fifth Pierrot, an assassin of Père Noël, who stalks the city streets of Rolled by night.

Description[]

Lemy, a boy living in an orphanage in Rolled, the Republic of Lucifenia, is adopted by the millionaire Julia. Julia, whose other identity is the leader of the crime syndicate 'Pere Noel,' brainwashes him, and Lemy now devotes himself each night to his assassinations as 'Fifth Pierrot'...

Evillious year 610. The Rolled Serial Killings...

Plot[]

At 2 AM in the city of Rolled, Lemy Abelard seeks his next victim. He explains what First Santa Claus taught him about the world being a place full of mistakes, making it his job to punish the bad children as Fifth Pierrot. The boy then stabs a pig with his knife and later plays his flute beneath the moon in an empty circus, "turning the black to red". The Pierrot's cage is opened and he goes out into the streets. After Seventh Magician asks Pierrot to escape with her, the boy informs Santa and Magician disappears from Père Noël the next day.

Later, at night, Pierrot awaits his new prey, only to feel a pain in his chest and panic as he begins to die. Looking up, he sees his assailant, Eighth Sniper. The boy begins to grow sleepy and sees his real parents smiling at him; in his last moments, he hears Seventh Magician say that he should have escaped with her, laughing at him. Afterwards, a message is sent from First Santa Claus to her "beloved sister-in-law", saying she will wait for her at Merrigod Plateau; she signs it from "Irina Clockworker".

Conceptualization and Origin[]

The Pierrot is a stock character in French pantomime, usually described as a naive or foolish character that becomes a victim of the other people's pranks, reflecting how Lemy was manipulated by Julia to be her personal tool; the Pierrot is also often portrayed as a clown or jester, matching Lemy's attire.
The Lucifenian Republic, where Rolled is located, is inspired by the French Republic, tying to Fifth Pierrot's influences.
The song's English title, "The end of Hänsel", refers to Lemy's being a reincarnation of Hänsel as well as his demise.
While commenting on the song, mothy expressed his belief that the clown profession is packed with romance and therefore had fun creating the piece.^[1]

Curiosities[]

The Evils Court booklet lists the court as not touching upon Lemy's case in the future, stating that Julia being the leader of Père Noël proved Lemy was also a member.^[2]
Later in the booklet, Gammon Octo comments about the differences between Lemy and other reincarnations of Hänsel and Gretel; he then notes that the Servants were only copies of them and questions what happened to the originals.^[3]
The song was remastered and included in Evils Court, utilizing the vocals of Luka and GUMI for small portions of the song dealing with Seventh Magician and Eighth Sniper.
The numbers for each member of Pere Noel correspond with the order their respective VOCALOIDs were released - MEIKO (1), KAITO (2), Hatsune Miku (3), Kagamine Rin (4) and Len (5), Camui Gackpo (6), Megurine Luka (7), and GUMI (8).
