Elluka Chirclatia was a mage of the Magic Kingdom Levianta and the fiancée of Kiril Clockworker. After being expelled as a priestess, she became the famous clockworker's assistant. She was later selected as a candidate of Project 'Ma' along with her future sister-in-law, Irina.

History

Early History

"An ex-priestess living in the city of Lighwatch. Expelled from the temple for bad behavior, she's currently the fiancée of Kiril, living with him as his assistant."

Elluka was born on January 30, BT 007 in the Magic Kingdom Levianta. During her youth, she followed the events of Project 'Ma' on television, seeing the head scientist Adam Moonlit and his test subject Eve Zvezda through the device. As she grew up, Elluka honed her skills and became a powerful sorceress. At some point, she learned that only Eve, Adam, Meta Salmhofer, and Prophet Merry-Go-Round were capable of using the Swap Technique, a high-level spell.

Some time after, Elluka was accepted as a priestess at the temple in Lighwatch. Afterwards, she met and fell in love with the resident clockworker, Kiril Clockworker; discovering he was a HER, she cured him of his symptoms. The priestess was later expelled from the temple for her misconduct and became Kiril's assistant afterwards, moving in with him. Later on during their romance, Kiril proposed to his beloved and the two became engaged. During this time, Elluka befriended Kiril's sister, Irina. When rumors began sprouting that the mage had met with the god Held residing in Elphegort, she made it clear to her future family she had never even left Levianta during her entire life.

Project 'Ma'

In EC 013, both Elluka and Irina were selected as potential candidates for Project 'Ma' after being surveyed for their viability. As the time of the final selection grew closer, the other candidates began to be eliminated from the competition. After the apparent suicide of Milky Eights and the seemingly accidental death of Ly Li, Elluka was approached by Irina.

Her future sister-in-law then pleaded that they stop the pointless deaths over becoming the new Ma, saying that both she and Kiril preferred Elluka as the candidate. Elluka then expressed her gratitude to Irina, promising to protect her. Shortly afterwards, Elluka was stabbed in the back by the young girl. As she collapsed, the mage saw Irina's crying face.

Legacy

After her death, Levia began impersonating the former priestess, urging Kiril to place Elluka's corpse in the forbidden ark Sin to attempt resurrecting her. Following the resulting explosion caused by Sin, the twin gods souls incarnated in Elluka's corpse. With the amnesic Levia becoming the new consciousness with the memories of her physical body, the reborn "Elluka Clockworker" continued to live on as a believed immortal, suffering from the guilt of losing her precious family and country for hundreds of years.

Having survived the Levianta Catastrophe, Irina blamed her future sister-in-law for her mortal injuries and destroyed dream, swearing vengeance on her false incarnation; the mage then continued to interfere with Elluka Clockworker's collection of the vessels of sin, only learning the truth about Elluka centuries later. When explaining her reasons for why Elluka Clockworker couldn't be the real Elluka to Levia, Irina cited that the Mage of Eternity's apparent old friendship with Held and inability to recognize Prim Marlon as a HER were obvious signs in retrospect.

Personality and Traits

Elluka was a kind-hearted but headstrong woman. Forgiving and loving, she was devoted to her beloved Kiril despite him originally being a HER, removing the man's symptoms and willing to marry him. This behavior extended to his younger sister Irina; Elluka became very protective of the child, promising to protect her from the secret murder of the candidates occurring behind the scenes.

Contrasting with her kindness, Elluka was daring and undaunted, confident in both her magical abilities and beliefs. However, her personality could cause trouble, leading to her expulsion from the temple in Lighwatch. Regardless, she was devoted to her work as a priestess and the removal of Hereditary Evil Raiser Syndrome from the populace. She also harbored a strong desire to become the Ma.

Elluka was a powerful sorceress, regarded with respect by her peers. Practicing her craft since an early age, she possessed a wide range of magical talent and was eventually accepted as a priestess at the temple. Among her powers was the ability to detect HERs and remove their genes of malice. Despite her amazing magical power, she was heavily lacking in other areas measured for candidacy in Project 'Ma'.

Character Connections

Kiril Clockworker: Elluka's beloved. Falling deeply in love with the craftsman after curing his condition, Elluka wished to join his family and eventually came to live with him. While being his fiancée, the ex-priestess also assisted Kiril in his work as a clockworker.

Irina Clockworker: Elluka's sister-in-law. As the sister of her loved one, Elluka cared deeply for Irina despite their later competition to become the next candidate for Project 'Ma'. As a result of her sister giving her the candidacy she resolved to protect her sister.

Levia: Elluka's chosen deity. Although never meeting the god herself, Elluka worshiped her as a member of the Levia-Behemo temple. After Elluka's death, Levia received her body and residual memories, believing herself to be Elluka as a result.

Conceptualization and Origin

• Her surname may be be derived from the chikrassy, a tree specimen and a medical agent.
• Elluka's name is partially inspired by the name of her representative Vocaloid, Luka, using "luka" at the end of the name.
