The Conchita Family was a noble family of the Beelzenian Empire, with at least one of its members serving the Beelzenian Royal Family. Following the actions of Banica Conchita, the family became effectively extinct though its lineage continued on.
History
Born in EC 106 in the Beelzenian Empire, Baron Toy Conchita eventually married and served under Princess Maylis Beelzenia as her personal adviser.[1] Unable to have any children with his wife, the Baron took in Maylis' daughter and raised her as their own when the royal family refused to keep the child.[2] The girl later birthed two children and the family continued on and eventually gained the noble title of Marquises.
After the death of Duke Gastolle in the civil war with Asmodean in EC 212, Marquis Toitapea was counted among the Five Dukes in his place due his royal lineage; as a result, the Conchitas were given control of the eastern half of Gastolle's former Retasan territory and they moved into the town of Gasto. Later in the century, Toitapea's successor, Duke Tosuite, requested the territory be renamed the Conchita territory and it was accepted by the royal family.
The title of Duke was later inherited by Muzuri in the late third century EC. Muruzi later married Meguru Glassred, and the two sired their daughter Banica in November, EC 296. In March, EC 306, as a result of a sudden famine, Meguru attempted to borrow her husband's sword and was killed in the ensuing struggle.[3] Afterwards, the family was deprived of its lands by Empress Juno due to the role Muzuri's heavy taxation had in the famine.
Under the thumb of the royal family, Duke Muzuri was forced to betroth his daughter to Prince Carlos Marlon in June, EC 311. In February of EC 312, the engagement was cancelled due to Banica's poor eating habits. Embarking on journeys abroad throughout EC 316, Banica brought back many recipes and greatly enriched the Beelzenia's food culture, becoming famed for her exploits.[4] After Muzuri's death, Empress Juno appointed Banica as his successor and returned control of the Conchita territory to her.
After indulging in more gruesome delicacies, Banica entered a romance with her former fiancé, Carlos,[5] and eventually became pregnant with his son. After Banica devoured herself in spite of the demon's suggestion to eat her child, the infant was taken in by Elluka Clockworker and eventually given to a servant at the Beelzenian Royal Palace, ending the Conchita name.[6]
After the destruction of the Third Period, all the dead members of the Conchita family residing in the Heavenly Yard were dragged back down to the earth as the ground world merged with the Hellish Yard.[7]

Trivia
Conceptualization and Origin
- Conchita is a Spanish diminutive of Concepción, meaning "conception"; the history and culture of Beelzenia, the family's native country, is partially inspired by that of Spain.
- As a characteristic of the family, many of its members have names related to eating made into an anagram; interestingly, its most prominent member, Banica, became the new Demon of Gluttony.
