In terms of what Slug and Price don't have, that'd be most of the manga shorts, I think (Price specifically doesn't do manga, Slug has translated several of the non-canon/adaptation manga stuff but to my knowledge hasn't done Retrouver of Silver, Novelette of White, Her Reason, the Venomania manga, or the Judgment of Corruption manga.) None of these are essential to understanding the series, though.
And yeah the EAT Prologue thing just hasn't been done yet, but it will be.
If you're completely new it might be better to go in release order rather than chronological. That way you don't spoil a bunch of the plot twists for yourself, especially when it comes to the books.
Pricecheck's blog has a recommended order in which to read/listen to the series. It includes songs, books, short stories (those are usually found in the series' databooks, which Price has blogs up for) and album booklets (which themselves often contain little stories or framing devices in them.)
Content that's supposed to be read is in italics, the songs are not.
Besides which, irregulars aren't barred from the Heavenly Yard, as evidenced by the fact that Allen spends hundreds of years in it. They just reincarnate, so there's no reason to expect them there.
No, it specifically was him talking about sin contractors. I'm not talking about reincarnation, I'm talking about a ghost wandering around. This is from SCaP's album story:
But it was different for people who had contracted with demons. They were not allowed to reside in the world of heaven. Their only options were to either to be delivered to the Hellish Yard that existed deep under the land, or take on an ethereal form and wander the ground world above.
I suppose in addition to whose perspective it has, it kind of depends on if mothy markets it as an EC work or a new series altogether. So far it looks like the former.
I don't think contractors even necessarily had to go to Hell either, at least not before Gumillia came along, cause Allen says somewhere (SCaP?) that they also had the option of wandering the earth.
I think Price already answered this but I wanted to add my understanding of this whole situation. I will first point out though that revenge was Kayo's primary goal, NOT saving Enbizaka. So it's not like she's heroic, she still brutally murdered three innocent women/girls.
To correct one misconception here, HERs can go to the Heavenly Yard. It is ONLY demonic contractors who can't cross over. (And everyone goes to the Hellish Yard, that's where the passage to the Heavenly Yard is.)
I don't know if it's specifically explained why demon contractors can't cross over to the Heavenly Yard, but I suspect it's less about them not "deserving" to go to heaven and more that being a contractor makes their souls a certain quality that the Heavenly Yard by nature rejects. Remember, these yards are constructs with their own in-story mechanics, not all-knowing arbiters of who is worthy and who isn't.
(As an aside, living people also can't go to the Heavenly Yard, so I wondered if they might not be able to because the demon's regenerative powers makes it so they don't count as "dead" even when they're spirits? But that's just speculation.)
Kayo and Gallerian are just weird cases where they count as contractors on a technicality. Kayo was descended from a literal demon and so counts due to the soul-genetics of the series, and Gallerian supplied the "greed" himself while making a "contract" with someone who has demonic powers (Adam.)
Now that mothy has revealed that an E.A.T Prologue story is in the works, I think this thread would be a decent place to discuss it. Judging by the cover alone, I think it's likely the story is going to cover the events of the three songs in the album, and is probably going to be a novella along the lines of Outlaw and Lychgate. So it'd probably be best to hold off doing E.A.T album story updates on non-media pages until the novel gives better context to the events happening in the album.
Dumb question: Should this be considered an Evillious work? Or should we give it the same treatment as the Fourth Period stuff like Unlock City and Story of Evil? If it heavily involves Banica and Co's perspective, probably the former, but there's also implications that this is the start of a new story (I mean "prologue" is in the title, probably a reference to Heavenly's Prologue Chapter but u know)
Late but those are valid concerns, yeee. > > In those cases, definitely put them back to what they were previously. Textures(?) and colors might be a bit subjective but cropping and size isn't.
And EvilliousFan, try not to replace images with the same image arbitrarily. limit that to stuff that's blurry or genuinely low quality.
It looks like there's no major objections, so you can feel free to change the rest of the pages if you want. Also a new Magic Kingdom category sounds like a good idea.
Ahh, I think those were some of the ones that EvilliousFan changed before they started proposing the avatars here. I personally can't see the issues you're describing aside from the off cropping and maybe some of the weird scanny... texture (not to say they aren't there, just that I can't see them) but yeah the quality of the pictures can be discussed, it should be easy to change them back.
It'd be easier to deal with specific examples, if you can name some, since there's been quite a lot of edits since then.
Also forgot to say, but I'm okay with Eater's proposed avatar if there are no objections from anyone else.
If this is a trivia, I'm not sure I see the connection, since Gast has never been resurrected by a Christlike figure.
I see no objections, so go ahead
I guess so, if no one else objects
I was worried no one will be able to see this because of the horrible new "discussion" update that moved all the forums, but hopefully people will get a notification or, like, guess from the recent activity orz. BUT I am splitting Levianta into Magic Kingdom Levianta and Holy Levianta. Holy Levianta gets to keep the Levianta page title for the time being since chronologically and narratively speaking it is the country called "Levianta" for the longest.
This means that all the links to Levianta that refer to Magic Kingdom Levianta will need to be changed
Personally I would rather a character be photobombing than us making an edit like that to the picture.
Imo that's a nitpick, it doesn't need to be centered further. And I personally don't like the huge chunk of blank space it creates just to edge her host a little bit more out of the shot.
Late reply but I think it's fine like that 0o0
Those are good points! (especially the notebook part.) I do agree with the suggested change for Yukina, then.
Adam's avi, my biggest issue with it is that it's badly slanted because otherwise it would be preferable to the one we have currently.
Rin's avatar might be too grainy at the required size, since the picture is a small one, but I'm good with it if other people are.
Allen Avadonia's avatar has already been changed multiple times and I see nothing wrong with the one we have now. Besides, the current avatar has him with his back to Riliane as opposed to Nemesis' waist. If we're going to have a character photobombing in the image, I'd rather it be one with huge personal significance to the character.
I see nothing wrong with the image of Yukina we have currently, and prefer the more dynamic look of her holding onto her hat in a breeze. If you can make an argument for why this avatar works better, then I'd agree.
