New PV for The Song I Heard Somewhere !!!
I think Seth intended to create Irina as Amostia's counterpart, so Irina was originally a Rin (in FML). But something happened (maybe Maria become Irina by some way) -> Irina can't be an irregular, therefor her appearance/Vocaloid change.
So the video for this song has the grassy background of the FML video and has all of the gears and boxes of the Clockwork Lullaby video literally contained inside Irina.
Interesting
How do other people feel like handling this information? Just saying that the video alludes to these songs? Saying Irina is the singer outright?
Saying Irina is the singer of these songs (FML, in particular) would attribute a lot of actions to her character history that we don't have context for yet, so I'm leaning towards just for now saying on the pages that these elements suggest she is the singer of both songs, without making a solid claim or adding the info from them to her page.
(Also to note, I don't think Wordplay should necessarily be involved in this discussion unless something in the video alludes to that as well)
Anyway about the pv for birthday, does that means we can safely say that it is about allen after all?
Also the "ghastly voice" is Michelle apparently.(More specifically, Michelle as the "sleep princess")
I think something to consider is still the fact that maria came before irina. I've always thought about the line "If my body changes then my goal will change too" specifically in the context of "Just like that person made me; This time I’ll turn people “evil”" being a twist on this line from fml "Just like that person made me; This time I will create that person"
we still don't understand maria's motivations, but it seems far more likely that maria, who was at the center of project ma, would have the goal of "creating" someone, especially with her continued cooperation with Levia-Behemo and the senate despite being Aware that she's being lied to
and ! I suggested that we be more vague with who the "ghastly voice" is further up in this conversation misstress ! I'd suggest reading through it because I have a fairly detailed theory about what it could mean as well as a more detailed suggestion for what to do ! that said, in my opinion mothy's been trying to make the connection to allen clear since the heavenly novel, this is just the final nail in the coffin
Until Mothy gives a clear explination for how Irina/Maria went from a Rin to a Miku to an Iroha, I think we should continue listing the CL Rin as an unknown charcater
I think we should continue listing the CL Rin as an unknown character as well, but I don't think the change in vocaloid really Needs an explaination. clockwork lullaby was created when mothy only had rin and len, and switching the entire vocal could be too big of a change for him. and as for irina, we already have an example of a character being reborn and represented by a different vocaloid (levia being reborn as nemesis)
the details around clockwork lullaby are still very vague, even (and especially) with the album booklet, but I don't think the difference in vocal means anything for whether or not it Can be connected to irina or maria. the issue right now is that we don't know the specifics of how
I honestly would not be surprised at this point if Irina was originally a Rin character then was reset or something when she was put in the Iroha body like what he did with Pale. Honestly Seth doing something to reset her soul would make sense why she appears in the Iroha body in Pierrot and not Maria even though Maria was her original incarnation as well. Also this may be a huge stretch but Irina's name is literally just a mash up of Rin + Iroha which I think would be funny if Mothy did on purpose.
Well, if Mothy had really wanted to make CL about Irina, he could have used Iroha for Key of Word, but I agree that Vocaloid changes are just Something We May Need To Accept when it comes to modern EC content
